Practice Description
Practicing principally in the areas of bankruptcy and business
reorganization, Mr. Parsons has represented secured and unsecured
creditors, examiners, creditors committees and debtors in a wide range
of bankruptcy related matters and litigation. Mr. Parsons has a
particular emphasis on trial and appellate briefing practice within the
bankruptcy context. Mr. Parsons also represents parties in commercial
litigation.
Representative Matters
- Extensive trial and appellate briefing of complex
legal issues on behalf of a variety of parties in
bankruptcy reorganization proceedings.
- Represented asbestos-related tort creditors in
various matters in a number of complex bankruptcy cases
including Pittsburgh Corning, W.R. Grace, Federal-Mogul,
Owens Corning, Flintkote, G-I Holdings and Congoleum.
- Provided advice and legal representation to trusts
set up under 11 U.S.C § 524(g) to compensate creditors
holding claims to be paid by the trusts post-bankruptcy.
- Represented various creditors’ committees in complex
chapter 11 cases in a wide variety of bankruptcy
matters.

United States, The United States Court of Appeals for
the Third Circuit and the United States District and
Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern
and Western Districts of Texas.
- Member, State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar
